If you haven’t heard the band Come and Rest, then you really need to check them out. They are a four piece band from Atlanta, Georgia and they know how to throw down. I had the chance to speak to the vocalist, Noel Alejandro, and he filled me in on all of the hype we have been missing out on when it comes to Come and Rest.

When I spoke with Noel, I had no clue what to expect. I knew that I had watched their new video release for “Slowburn” and loved it, but talking to someone that is in a band that you aren’t familiar with can be a little nerve wrecking. That feeling went away as soon as we began our conversation. He is a great guy who is exceedingly passionate about the music and very appreciative that someone showed interest in learning more about Come and Rest. I feel honored to be able to share the interview with you.

Noel filled me in on the usual info: Band history, upcoming events, their new album release, etc. All of this is in the interview. He also dug down deep in to the emotional depth behind what they do. His answer regarding the band name Come and Rest is fantastic. I know when you hear the name Come and Rest, you automatically think that you will hear something soft. Well, that is definitely not the case; however, the name alone has a story behind it that will make the wheels in your mind turn. We both enjoyed discussing the meaning behind the songs that have been written, and how during the process of writing you never imagine that your thoughts could sync with so many other listeners. Music works in amazing ways.

The audio link to the interview is posted below and believe me … you will want to hear it. Noel Alejandro was a pleasure to talk to and openly shares the depth behind all that is Come and Rest. If you are like me and love to hear about new bands and always have a desire to check out new music, then you should add Come and Rest to your list. They have a whole different style that is impressive and refreshing. I know that after speaking with Noel and listening to their new release, “Slowburn,” they have a new fan….me! Take a minute to watch the video and keep an eye out for the release of their new EP “Blacklist,” releasing on May 12, 2015. Sit back and click the link below to hear an awesome interview. You won’t be disappointed! – Alicia Williams
